Similarly, the artist assumes that we should internalise everything we see, hear, read and experience (both positive or negative) because it feeds our minds. Her work draws on this \"gathering\" methodology, collecting inspiration from texts, images, theories and conversations. Each source – whether good, bad, conscious or unconscious – is stored in what the artist calls her carrier bag, which is quite full. Her work offers a voyeuristic insight into her confusing and insinuating imagination, combining and weaving many voices into new stories or situations to present a refreshing take on the dominant narratives and ways of thinking that characterise our society.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTextile is often considered an inferior medium because it is associated with female labour in a domestic setting. Zo gaat ook de kunstenares er van uit dat we alles wat we zien, horen, lezen en ervaren (of het nu positief of negatief is) moeten internaliseren omdat het onze geest voedt. Deze methodologie van “gathering”, het verzamelen van inspiratie uit teksten, beelden, theorieën en gesprekken ligt dan ook aan de basis van haar werk. Elk van deze bronnen – goed, slecht, bewust of onbewust – wordt opgeslagen in wat de kunstenaar haar draagtas noemt, en die is behoorlijk gevuld. Met haar werk biedt ze een voyeuristische inkijk in haar verwarrende en insinuerende verbeelding. L’artiste part également du principe que nous devons internaliser tout ce que nous voyons, entendons, lisons et expérimentons (que ce soit positif ou négatif), car cela alimente notre esprit. Cette méthodologie de «\u0026nbsp;gathering\u0026nbsp;», la collecte d’inspiration issue de textes, d’images, de théories et de conversations se trouve aussi à la base de son travail.
