This exhibition wants to do more than just \u0026lsquo;compile\u0026rsquo; a number of works that somehow refer to the three main phenomena. It has no intention of providing clear-cut answers \u0026ndash; it merely wants to disorder and disturb what we thought we know. Through the combination of myths with psychiatry and art, this exhibition seeks to create a mental space capable of yielding insights about the assumption of what art is \u0026ndash; or could be.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eBy its historical and current context, the city Geel is giving an extra dimension to the exhibition since it is one of the most unique places in the world in terms of psychiatric care and more specifically family care.\u003cbr /\u003e\r\nPsychiatric patients of the Public Psychiatric Care Centre (OPZ) are included in foster families for centuries. The dialogue between patients and non-patients is central. Daarbij staan niet zozeer de onderlinge verschillen centraal, als wel de openingen en dus verbindingen, affiniteiten en parallellen tussen deze drie fenomenen. De tentoonstelling wenst meer te doen dan het louter \u0026lsquo;samenbrengen\u0026rsquo; van kunstwerken die verband houden met de drie hoofdfenomenen. Ze wil geen pasklare antwoorden naar voren schuiven, maar datgene wat we dachten te weten en te begrijpen juist ontregelen en verstoren. Door mythe, psychiatrie en kunst met elkaar in relatie te brengen, tracht \u003cem\u003eMiddle Gate Geel \u0026rsquo;13\u003c/em\u003e een mentale ruimte te cre\u0026euml;ren waarbinnen inzichten kunnen ontstaan over de veronderstelling van wat kunst is, of zou kunnen zijn.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003eDe stad Geel geeft door haar historische en huidige context een extra dimensie aan de tentoonstelling, daar ze een van de meest unieke plekken in de wereld is op het gebied van psychiatrische zorgverlening. Psychiatrische pati\u0026euml;nten van het Openbaar Psychiatrische Zorgcentrum (OPZ) worden sinds oudsher in pleegfamilies opgenomen. De dialoog tussen pati\u0026euml;nten en niet-pati\u0026euml;nten staat dus centraal. \u003cem\u003eMiddle Gate Geel \u0026rsquo;13\u003c/em\u003e zal ten volle gebruik maken van deze context en
