Of the dozens of inventors in the world of film, the Lumière brothers, although not the first, were nevertheless one of    those many early inventors to develop a successful film apparatus.\r\n\r\nThrough the use of various accessories the apparatus could be used as a film camera, film projector or copying machine for films.\r\n\r\nFollowing the first public film screening by the Skladanowsky brothers using their own device in Germany on 1 November 1895, the Lumière brothers presented the second public film screening in the ‘Grand Café’ in Paris on 28 December 1895, including L'arroseur arrosé.
